Love in Cap d’Antibes.
Meet Betty who has a special connection to the Plage des Ondes.
I met Betty a few days ago. She had just finished a swimming lesson with a local instructor Olivier when we had a quick chat. She looked so awesome all in pink that I had to take some photos of her. Turned out that Betty is the sister of Stefano, the chef at the Bistrot up at the lighthouse. Such a small world.
I live in Antibes but not on the Cap. I have been coming to Cap d’Antibes for many many years.
This is my beach, I love the Plage des Ondes. It’s the beach where I met my husband. We met and fell in love on this beach about 20 years ago so it has a very special place in my heart.
I swim here, on this side of the Cap, for pleasure. On the other side of the Cap I do my sport. I train every day with Well Move. We do ‘Marche Aquatic’ on Plage de la Salis or Plage Garoupe. I do this in the mornings at 6.30 or otherwise in the evenings.
Today I am taking lessons with Olivier here at Plage des Ondes just to improve my technique. It’s only a ½ hour session but you get a very good work out with him. He is a great teacher.
I love coming to the Cap for the beach and for the beautiful sea.
My brother is the chef at the Bistrot du Port up by the lighthouse so I also love to go up there for an early evening apero, Italian style.
