Let it Snow
Snow in Cap d’Antibes!!!
A rare thing happened this week, we had snow in Cap d’Antibes! Apparently the last time that happened was 35 years ago. There were a few flakes in 2012 which settled for about five minutes but this time it managed a few hours, turning what is usually green to white, although admitedly not completely.
As soon as the snow started to fall I headed straight outside to capture this extremely rare occurence. I am guessing it may not happen again for another 35 years! It was a bit of a race against time as the snow didn’t hang around for long but I did manage to get some beautiful photos of Villa Thuret and some secret gardens on the Cap. I of course also took the obligatory picture of the Petit Tour on Plage des Ondes :).
As much as I love the vivid colours here on the Cote d’Azur it was such a special treat to photograph Cap d’Antibes in the snow. The light and the colours were so beautiful and for just a couple of hours at least, Cap d’Antibes resembled a winter wonderland.
I wish I had had more time so I could have captured more of Cap d’Antibes landmarks but I guess I will have to wait until next time!
